Scope Of Work
Carlson was selected to provide design build construction services for the Bohler-Uddeholm’s new North American headquarters & manufacturing facility on a 21 acre site.
Site work included vehicle parking for 280 autos and truck staging for 22 tractor trailers. A complete storm water management system was installed utilizing BMP’s and wetland bottom water filtering plantings. The facility includes 37,000 square feet of administrative and corporate office, 3,200 square feet of fabrication offices and 314,800 square feet of manufacturing and material storage space. The manufacturing area incorporated a fully automated CASTO racking system, which delivers the materials directly to the plant floor for processing.
Carlson completed the pre-cast concrete, glass, aluminum and steel facility in 12 months from notice to proceed.
