Scope Of Work
Aurora Health Care was looking to expand their facilities and services in the Burlington area by investing $104 million into a new 160,000 sq. ft. ambulatory surgery center, new medical office building and updating the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington and Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
Aurora entrusted Boldt with the Burlington Region upgrade program based on the Boldt value creation process. By working with Boldt, Aurora could rely on one organization for all phases of the project and greatly accelerate the planning, design and construction process while increasing quality and cost standards. Boldt’s knowledge and experience with healthcare development, design/construction planning and execution played an integral role in the success of the project team.
The new facility, which opened in September 2016, includes: cancer services, a dedicated women’s imaging department, outpatient surgery, physical rehabilitation services, a laboratory, pharmacy services and other ancillary services. Renovation work at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn was completed at the end of 2016. The anticipated completion date of the renovation projects and CMS upgrades within Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington is the end of 2017.
