Scope Of Work
Thornton Construction build-out approximately 30,000 sq.ft. of cooler area within the Cargo Building.
LAN Cargo, the air freight unit of Chile's LAN airline, inaugurated this $4million expansion of its cold storage import facility on Tuesday, April 21, 2010 at Miami International Airport.
This investment doubles LAN Cargo's capacity for processing perishable goods and gives it the largest cold storage center operated by any airline at a US airport. This Chilean air freight line, which chose Miami as headquarters for its international operations, uses the refrigerated facilities for importing cut flowers, asparagus, fresh fruite, salmon and other products form South America.
