Scope Of Work
RapidRenu (RR) was contracted to remove deep pits in the exterior glass of the Rincon Tower II. The deep pits were a result of a 2014 explosion of fireworks outside the building windows. 67 glass lites on the north elevation of Floors 5 to 20 were damaged by the fireworks.
Prior to the start of the project RR participated in an exhaustive study conducted by Webcor,and Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) Engineers, to evaluate whether the polished glass would have adequate strength to resist design wind loads.
