Scope Of Work

C&S provided project management, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, security, AV/communications, site/civil, and construction management for the new LEED Gold Academic II building. The project was designed in 3D using Revit 2011 BIM software. Revit models were exchanged multiple times between all consultants and across all disciplines to ensure a fully coordinated design. The new building is two stories, 45,000 square feet, and features a dramatic 200-foot clear span across a gorge. There are 8 smart classrooms, 34 individual practice spaces, two keyboard labs, two practice rooms, and a 1,200-square-foot and 2,400-square-foot rehearsal rooms. A 150-seat recital hall is a grand space for student and professional performances. To achieve acoustical goals, all aspects of the HVAC systems were designed to minimize noise. This project received a Gold Engineering Excellence Award from ACEC New York.
