C&S provided construction observation for the removal of two bridges and construction of a new bridge carrying Denning Rd. over the Neversink River in Denning, NY. The original bridge was closed, so a temporary bridge was erected. Traffic was maintained during construction on the temporary bridge using portable signals while the old bridge was demolished and a new bridge was constructed. Once the new bridge was complete, the temporary bridge was removed. Throughout construction, C&S represented the owner’s interests and ensured that the project was built to NYSDOT specifications. Daily reports, contractor payments, and change orders were produced in a paperless workspace with a web-based construction administration package. C&S vetted the prime contractor and all subcontractors, reviewed and approved materials, field measured the work for payment, monitored EEO and DBE goals using the Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO) program, and coordinated with local residents.
