Scope Of Work
Replacement of a gasline from community gas meter to spa heater. We were able to value engineer and determine that the existing 2 inch steel line was oversized and could be replaced using a 3/4" yellow poly line, allowing us to use the 600lf of existing 2" steel gas line as a pipe sleeve. This saved the community thousands of dollars avoiding costly change orders for trenching beneath roadways, landscaping, hardscapes, in order to route beneath existing unforseen utilities. Sleeving the new gas line was not a straight shot as it routed beneath a wash, bend between buildings, continued under a community roadway, and traveled below the hardscape of the spa area before reaching it's mechanical pit. We were able to limit potholing in 7 areas avoiding a 600lf trench as was proposed by our competitors.
