Scope Of Work
Complete phased renovation and building demolition of an occupied 1.4 million square feet public facility in a dense urban core with only bridge -causeway access. ( 800,000 GSF renovation and 600,000 GSF full building demolition )
Project highlights include the complete building demolition of 475,000 square feet of heavily reinforced and long span structure adjacent to structure / utilities that are to remain in less than 60 calendar days incorporating full LEEDS SILVER recycling practices
Cutting and removal of 504,000 GSF of 8" rebar mat convention hall interior slab in 25 working days via 5 - 110,000-lb thru 70,000-lb excavators equipped with air purifier equipment resulting in zero carbon emissions and allowing all other project trades to proceed with their scope in said convention halls concurrently with ALPHA
Use of 250 ton crawler / hydraulic crane to pick 22" thick CIP facade sections at weights of up to 120,000 lbs. Cutting / separation was accomplished by 60" track saw, wire sawing, and a ALPHA owned CAT 349-EL with a Genesis LXP- 400 Universal Processor with concrete cracker jaw attachment
Dismantlement and lowering of 64 large air handler units from convention hall rafters 50' above slab on grade with live adjacent utilities
