Challenge
Cyrcon Builders completed multiple projects with Cal Arts over a 5 year period, the most recent one being an emergency repair of the Ahmanson Dormitory. Due to a campus water main pipe failure, the entire ground floor of the historic dormitory was destroyed, and this happened 3 weeks before school started. Cal Arts turned to Cyrcon Builders and asked that in 3 weeks, working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, we completely demolish all interior finishes, refurbish the entire ground floor and simultaneously upgrade all electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
Results
Cost – Without Cyrcon Builder's dedication to the client and project over 120 graduate students would have had to have been temporarily housed in hotels.
Schedule – Cyrcon Builders responded to the clients needs by assigning a full time project manager, an assistant project manager, and three superintendents in order to work continuously for the entire 3 week period. Cyrcon Builders completed the project Saturday night, with student move in occurring on time Monday morning.
Quality – The greatest value Cyrcon Builders returned to the client was in avoiding any impact to their reputation by avoiding disruption to their largely international graduate population’s education.
