Scope Of Work

Acousti Engineering Company of Florida has built a good relationship with the Nashville Metro School District over the years; helping to construct around 70% of the school district’s buildings. However, this was not the only reason that the Nashville School District trusted Acousti with their new project. The high-end fabric for the acoustical wall panels and the floating decorative ceiling clouds created the perfect project for our skilled team. 

Located in Nolensville, TN, the Mills Creek Elementary and Middle School, which was built in 2014, required the installation of acoustical ceilings (grid and tile), axiom trim, and wall panels. For this project, Acousti used Armstrong Axiom white trim 4", Certainteed Performa VinylRock tile, Certainteed ceiling grid, and AVL acoustical wall panels. About 247 wall panels (and 1,318 wall brackets used to mount the panels) were used during this installation. 

One of the challenges of this project was the height of the ceilings, which required the use of lifts in order to reach the scope of work. The Acousti field staff responsible for the installation was able to meet and exceed deadline expectations even though wall panels can be time consuming to install, especially at the height requested. 

The general contractor, RG Anderson, properly coordinated the project, allowing the installation process to run smoothly. In addition, the design team was a pleasure to work with and their use of colors and overall design made all contractors involved proud of the completed project. 

Acousti is very proud of this project. Ultimately we are very pleased that: 1) We were able to continue to build a positive relationship with the Nashville Metro School District. 2) We were able to use our expertise in interior construction systems to create a beautiful finished project. 3) We completed the project in a timely manner and on-budget regardless of the height requirements.
