Scope Of Work
Jacksonville International Airport was originally conceived primarily as primarily a military airport to serve the sizable naval bases in the region. As Jacksonville's commercial sector grew, the need for a larger airport became evident and expansion was necessary as more traffic increased in the region. The airport still serves as a joint civil-military public airport and served over 6 million passengers in 2011.
Acousti was the ceiling systems contractor and flooring contractor responsible for the coordination and installation of high end acoustical ceilings, custom ceilings, porcelain floor, wall tile, and glass tile. The primary work was done in the new terminal A and then rolled into terminal B.
As the largest, most experienced interior systems contractor in the southeast, Acousti was able to provide the client with a high quality installation completed on time despite the extremely aggressive schedule, complex specified systems, and last minute design changes.
