Scope Of Work
Quarry Reclamation and Redevelopment of the Llanarch Quarry in Haverford Township, Delaware County, PA. Working under DEP Mines Reclamation Closure Permit, bulk earthwork operations were inspected for compaction and moisture control as well as material compliance with project specifications. Additionally, Earth Engineering Incorporated conducted a full Geotechnical Investigation for the 200+ feet deep quarry fills including a Geophysical Investigation and Infiltration Testing in accordance with DEP Best Management Practices. The future development includes big box store anchors with numerous retail outparcels. Surcharge pile construction and settlement plate monitoring were conducted. Full time inspections for additional bulk earthwork compaction, underground utilities trench backfill inspection, stormwater management systems including stream alignment embankments, underground stormwater systems and traditional above ground basin and berm, soil improvement utilizing Deep Dynamic Compaction as well as surcharge.
