Scope Of Work
Kalahari Resorts Pocono Mountains is a $230-million, 150-acre, African-themed complex located in Monroe County at Pocono Manor in Pennsylvania. Designed by Architectural Design Consultants, Inc., Phase One of the resort project includes 457 luxury guest rooms/suites; a 100,000-square-foot indoor waterpark and seasonal outdoor waterpark; a 65,000-square-foot convention center; a 30,000-square-foot family entertainment center; 6,000 square feet of retail space; and three full-service restaurants. Phase II will include expansion of the indoor waterpark to 200,000 square feet; 400 more guest rooms/suites and expansion of the outdoor waterpark; and 300,000 square feet of exhibit space.
EEI initially performed an assessment of the geotechnical information and provided a value engineering alternative for the foundation systems. This saved the contractor significant time in the project schedule, which translated into savings to the owner. As of the ground breaking, we have and are continuing to provide full inspection services for the resort for Kraemer Brothers, the water park for Neuman Pools, Inc. and PennDOT roadway for The H&K Group.
