Scope Of Work

The James A. Michener Art Museum is a private, non-profit museum located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The museum was founded in 1988 and named for James A. Michener, a Doylestown resident and Pulitzer Prize winning author. The museum is situated within the old stone walls of an historic 19th Century prison and contains a collection of Bucks County works of arts, along with 19th and 20th Century American art. The Museum has 35,400 square feet of building and contains an outdoor sculpture garden and terrace built in the original prison yard, seminar and conference facilities, a museum shop and café, and the George Nakashima Reading Room. The Martin Wing includes preparation areas and collection storage spaces. Earth Engineering Incorporated conducted construction quality control for improvements to the existing structure.
