Scope Of Work
Following the massive Thomas fire, more than 50 feet debris and sediment were trapped by heavy rains in the basin and needed to be removed before another impending storm. Coordinated by the Santa Barbara County Flood Control , in partnership with the Army Corps Engineers, ABD assisted in the emergency effort by unclogging an obstructed 48” sewer drain and allowing water to discharge downstream. This dried out the basin and made it possible to remove debris, effectively protecting the city Carpinteria from flooding, mudslides, and other catastrophic debris.
