Scope Of Work
VPC is actively replacing gas mains and service lines as part an ongoing effort to upgrade plastic and steel pipelines with modern materials. This multi-year effort will retire 5,450 miles of Aldyl-A Main pipeline. For this project on Mountaire Dr., crews replaced 5,220 linear feet plastic Aldyl-A and 55 linear feet 2” HP STL nearly two months ahead schedule. It was our first project to utilize the “hot tank” procedure, which allows us to replace a homeowner’s gas service with zero downtime.
