Scope Of Work

Since 2001, we have provided our professional services for over 50 Wawa Convenience Store and Gas Station development projects, mostly across the State of New Jersey. In addition to Wawa as our client directly, we have worked with Groundwater & Environmental Services, Sovereign Consulting, and various contractors for the design and construction of the Wawa stores. Our professional services include geotechnical investigations, infiltration testing, retaining wall design, pavement evaluations, soil and concrete laboratory testing, and construction inspection and testing.

Project Example - Wawa Food Market /Gas Station and Culvert , Ridley Township, PA

A Wawa store and gas station was developed at the Hancock Street & Morton Avenue in Ridley Township in Delaware County, PA. As part of the development, an existing culvert that run across the site was also rebuilt per PennDOT standards.

GeoStructures, as subconsultant for Groundwater and Environmental Services (GES), performed comprehensive geotechnical investigation and design for the proposed development and the reconstruction of the culvert, retaining walls, and embankments. During the construction phases, GeoStructures provided all the required inspection and testing services for the installation of store building, canopy, culvert, and retaining walls. The inspection items included:

• Building timber truss inspection
• Culvert soil bearing verification
