Robert Griggs Plumbing & Heating

Established in 2002, we are a full service plumbing, heating, sewer, mechanical and drilling contractor. We serve both the public and private sector, specializing in industrial and educational facilities. We have cooperative purchasing contracts with the Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission and Ed Data Services for plumbing and sewer work that covers Middlesex, Mercer, Somerset, Hunterdon, Morris and Union Counties. We perform underground trenchless piping repairs and replacements, including new line installations and pipe bursting. We also have certified backflow preventer testers on staff, along with certified fusion pipe installers, and have our own pipe fusion equipment. We have our own sewer jetter and vacuum truck, which we use for sewer cleaning and hydro-excavation.

We do prevailing wage and open shop projects. We have DPMC and SDA Classifications with a rating of $5,000,000. We do all types of projects from brand new buildings to renovations to additions to service calls to equipment replacement or repairs. We have our own excavating and concrete cutting and core drilling equipment, and perform many sewer, water and utility work projects. We also have our own sewer jet truck, along with drain cleaning, pipe bursting and pipe lining equipment, and directional drilling equipment.  We are registered with the State of New Jersey as a Small Business Enterprise. 

We are certified to inspect and test backflow preventers, along with being licensed as a Medical Gas Piping Installer, and have certified brazers and plastic fusion joining technicians on staff.

Some recent projects include:

Deans School Emergency Sewer Line Replacement, South Brunswick, New Jersey; emergency replacement of 325' sewer line and site restoration (including paving parking lot and replacing concrete sidewalk) in September right before school started; used combination of trenching and trenchless pipe bursting piping to install new 6" sewer line, including new tap on sewer main 12' deep; total cost $95,000.

Lead Service Line Replacements, numerous locations in New Jersey; working for American Water and the Southeast Morris County MUA; replace lead water service lines with new copper pipe; done by trenching, directional drilling and/or pipe bursting depending on job parameters; have completed approx. $300,000 of lead service line replacements to date.

Unipharm Pharmaceutical Plant, Somerset, New Jersey: New packaging and processing plant; Total cost $600,000.

Catalent Pharma, Somerset, New Jersey;  New packaging clean rooms; Total cost $130,000

St. Peter The Apostle Church- Convert from Steam to Hot Water Heating, New Brunswick, New Jersey; Total cost $255,000

Lawrence Township School District, Lawrence, New Jersey; various plumbing projects from the summer of 2016 to present- including new water heaters, science lab renovations, faucet replacements, pipe repairs, sewer line repairs and replacements, grease trap replacements; Total cost is over $400,000.
