TNE Franklin/Taylor Northeast Franklin

Taylor Northeast (TNE) Franklin was originally established in 1985 as Franklin Sales and Service in Linthicum, Maryland. Founded by Chuck Krug and a group of investors who represented the dealership for American Lincoln Industrial Cleaning Equipment in the Philadelphia region, Franklin Sales and Service was spun off to form a new full-service dealership for greater Baltimore.

Conceived by Chuck as a company that would "exist for and because of our customers," we soon gained a reputation as the region's preferred dealership for commercial and industrial cleaning equipment. We were, and remain, known for offering the best prices, the longest warranties, the shortest lead times and the best customer service. It's a tradition so engrained in who we are that we still follow the same guiding principles from our founding, three decades later.

A Decade of Growth

[TNE Franklin: A decade of growth] Driven by our values and our commitments to our customers, we soon outgrew our original location and in 1990 we moved to a new facility in nearby Jessup, located about 15 miles outside of Baltimore. In 1996, a year after we celebrated our 10th anniversary, we added Advance Floor Scrubbers and Sweepers to our product lines. As a dual dealer of both Advance and American Lincoln, we continued to rapidly expand and by 2001 we had once again doubled our space requirements.

Joining the H&K Equipment Family of Companies

Sensing an opportunity to grow the business even further, Chuck began looking for a partner who could take our company "to the next level." His search put him in contact with George Koch of H&K Equipment, which at the time was the American Lincoln dealer for the Pittsburgh region. The two businesses merged, and in 2002 Taylor Northeast Franklin Sales and Service Company, LLC was formally opened as a sister of H&K Equipment's Philadelphia subsidiary, Taylor Northeast. That same year we moved to our current 14,000 square foot facility in the heart of metropolitan Baltimore.

TNE Franklin Becomes a Premier Nilfisk-Advance Dealer

Not long after we relocated to Baltimore, American Lincoln was purchased by Advance, and TNE Franklin gained formal recognition as a Premier Dealer of Nilfisk-Advance Cleaning Equipment, a title we have been proud to retain ever since. Then, in 2012, we began offering floor preparation and polishing attachments from Diamabrush by Malish.

 Our Company, 30 Years Later

Today, nearly 30 years after our founding, we are still growing. We now provide sales and service to customers in over six states, including Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C. and beyond. As a member of the H&K Equipment Family of Companies, we also offer an expanded suite of products and services, including material handling equipment ranging from forklifts and utility vehicles to bridge cranes and railcar movers. And since we share space with our sister company, Taylor Northeast, we can connect you with sales, rentals and more for this equipment right here in Baltimore.

In the years ahead we plan to keep improving our processes and practices, to keep expanding our service region and to keep bringing you new and exciting cleaning solutions from the leading names in the industry.
