Constance Cincotta's Bio
Connie Cincotta is the heart and soul of Glenwood Mason Supply Company, Inc. Glenwood was born of an ambition that took seed during her time spent in London and Manhattan learning “the brick business,” and was nurtured and cultivated as she worked beside her father in his supply company. More than two decades after founding her own firm, she still delights in being a force in the building and rebuilding of New York.
Despite the size and complexity of Glenwood, it is very deliberately operated on the ethos of a traditional family business. This follows Connie’s personal philosophy, and has allowed the company to assemble a staff comprised of people who have strong traditional values that include integrity, loyalty and dedication – tempered with a fun loving spirit. Her avid interest and commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is evident in the opportunities available to all at her companies.
Passionate about art, history, learning and service to others, Connie has extensive philanthropic interests and involvement. She is an Advisory Board Member of the National Bank of New York City and an Honorary Board Member of the Flatbush YMCA, a Board Member of the American Board of Historic Royals Palaces, a member of the President’s Club at Colgate University, and the Pelican Society of the Packer Collegiate Institute. At Colgate, she endowed a scholarship in memory of her mother that allows students to participate in study abroad. She has also endowed a college scholarship in memory of her father, which is administered by the Columbus Citizen’s Foundation. Most recently she has established the “Marion & Joseph Cincotta Kitchen” at the Mary Brennan Inn of Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) to honor the memory of her parents. She is a faithful and committed supporter of several local charities on Long Island.
In her capacity as a former Trustee, she is a supporter of the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Her interest in the arts has led her to try her hand as a producer of the Off Broadway musical “Norman’s Ark” and invest in “The Berenstein Bears in Family Matters” and “Virtually Me,” as well as “Last Call at Pip’s,” a television pilot. Her most ambitious foray into the arts was to invest in the Broadway and National Tour productions of the Tony Award winning musical “Memphis,” an endeavor that she found to be great fun and afforded her the thrill of walking the Red Carpet.
Connie was the recipient of the 2016 Humanitarian of the Year Award, presented by the Interfaith Nutrition Network (the INN). The INN, which feeds and houses the Hungry and Homeless on Long Island, is an organization near and dear to her.
The apples of her eye are Mason and Dixie, two very spoiled and well-loved rescue dogs.
