Scope Of Work
This project for Eden Autism Services consisted of site improvements including athletic fields, walking trails, a basketball court, as well as, "best practices" elements in the classrooms and gymnasium complete with a sensory motor area and weight room. The building construction included the renovations and alterations to an existing 12,311 square foot child care center into programming space and offices for Eden, as well as, the new construction of a 24,837 square foot two story school. The school has model home and office areas to provide education and experiences in life skills and job skills training. In addition to having a commercial kitchen with cafeteria, the school has a fully functional "Mini Wawa" – a model of a convenience store for job skills training.
This project received two awards: Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Excellence in Construction & The Philadelphia American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design Excellence.
