Scope Of Work
Insmed is a biopharmaceutical company located Bridgewater, New Jersey. The company recently embarked upon a 14,000 SF expansion of its headquarters facility and engaged V. J. Scozzari & Sons, Inc. to deliver the combination office and laboratory space adjacent to its existing 3rd floor laboratory and office space. The project included the complete interior selective demolition of the existing space and tenancy and the new interior fit-out to accommodate a threefold increase in personnel to 330 individuals.
The project included completely new interiors and finishes, custom millwork, as well as fixed and mobile Kewaunee Scientific metal laboratory casework, phenolic resin laboratory countertops with stainless steel sinks, and Nuaire laboratory equipment including Class II B2 100% exhaust Bio Safety Cabinets and laboratory gases and services. The mechanical system modifications, included plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection; lighting and electrical modifications were required as well to this fully occupied facility.
