Scope Of Work

This project included the second and third phases (V. J. Scozzari & Sons, Inc. completed Phase one in 2013) of the Limitless Futures: Investing in the Children of Chapin, a two year multi-phase $13,200,000 campus expansion program. 
The 13,300 square foot single story Lower School Addition (Phase two of the work) includes four new classrooms, a science lab, a library with technology center, offices and a large commons area that will provide superb teaching and learning spaces for Chapin students in grades Pre-K through Four. This project consisted of the installation of new high efficiency heating and air conditioning systems, lighting systems, and energy savings features such as enhanced insulation and windows. Site improvements included relocation of playgrounds, equipment, new septic fields, lighting and landscaping.
All of the Pre-Construction & Construction Phase services and improvements have been undertaken with strict adherence to the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) requirements for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Standards.
The third and final Phase of the Limitless Futures initiative is a 14,000 square foot two-story addition to the Upper School which will provide six classrooms, a Library/Information Center, Technology Center and a commons area.
