Scope Of Work
DS Constructors is contracted to complete renovations of 13 fire stations in the City of Aurora. All stations are occupied by Aurora Fire Rescue personnel and will be occupied and in full operation 24/7 during construction. The improvements at each station are to improve the health and safety of the station by limiting the possibility of contaminants and harmful fumes entering the living area and to increase security in the buildings.
Improvements such as enclosing and ventilating bunker gear storage; heating, ventilation and cooling changes and pressurization adjustments; segregation of clean and dirty laundry; creating vestibules between apparatus bays and living areas; and/or installation of access control on select doorways. This project has completed on January 28, 2019.
