R.E. Warner and Associates, Westlake, Ohio
Survey Division Manager
1996 – 2005
R.E. Warner and Associates is a privately held multi-discipline AE firm in Westlake, Ohio. I was hired as the staff surveyor in 1996 to provide in-house support services for the engineering and architectural areas of the company, as well as to develop a market for our surveying services. Shortly thereafter, in the spring of 1997, we purchased our first robotic total station - a Geodimeter. We were one of the first to implement this new technology in Ohio.
RE Warner became a leader in providing surveying engineering services to our clients.
I grew a Survey Division running up to six field crews. Our clients ranged from architects to national engineering companies to large transportation and site contractors.
To further be able to care for my clients’ needs, I started Straub Surveying, LLC in late 2005 upon my departure from REW.
