Scope Of Work
Phase 1: 5 natural turf soccer fields
Phase 2: 300,000 SF new synthetic turf fields: Two soccer fields, a rugby field and two baseball fields with synthetic infields. 200,000 CY of earthwork, including removal of over ten acres of concrete and a gas station. Excavated, hauled and graded existing soils to create 42 acres of new wetland habitat of nearly 60 varying depth ponds, .85 acres of gravel trails, leaky berms, 60 log structures to divert water flows at varying levels and depths and 16,000 native plants and trees. 30,000 LF of drainage pipe, 31,000 LF of irrigation pipe. Parking improvements, 1.45 acres of paved, lighted pathways, field lighting, fencing, backstops. Awards: Washington Chapter ACEC Engineering Excellence Gold Award for Water Resources, and became a national award finalist. It was also awarded the WRPA Spotlight Park and Best Park. Phase 3: Cleared 6.2 acres of existing trees, brush and grasses. 15,500 CY of earth excavated and graded to create new ponds and outflows. Excavated soil repurposed to build visitor viewing mounds. 12,000 SF of new gravel, over 13,000 trees, native shrubs, wetland plugs and two acres of seeding to enhance wetland habitats, a leaky berm under the gravel trail to accommodate overflow among the ponds, an irrigation quick coupler system, and a heavy steel backed guardrail.
