Complete Refurbishment of Two BAC Cooling Towers in Occupied High Rise
Work included
Sequential Demolition of cooling tower components and equipment including
Fan shafts, motors, fill media and related components
Equipment design verification
Refurbishment scope including
8 fan shafts
16 fan wheels, bearings, bushings and sheaves
Sandblasting of interior casings
Installation of hand laid fiberglass tank linings 40' X 14" each
Installation of 8 new 40 HP fan motors
Piping and valve modifications to 14" equalizer and 8" spray supply risers
Installation of new fill media and drift elimination
Internal sheet metal casing re-fabrication
Complete replacement of internal distribution and spray systems
Project cost savings to owner vs. replacement - over 1 million dollars
