Our History

American Window Systems, Inc. is a local family-owned business that was founded by Tom Javorina. Tom started in the glass industry over 50 years ago sweeping the floors in a small glass shop to eventually serving as the sales manager for a large window manufacturer. In 1976, Tom received his contractor’s license and with the help of Roberta, his wife of over 48 years, he went into business for himself. He also went on to train his son, Steven, and his daughter, Sally, to help run the family business.
