Scope Of Work
When Gap Inc. decided to reduce their store space at the Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY, they selected Donnelly Construction to perform the work. Between their three major brands (Gap, Baby Gap, Gap Kids), we reduced their footprint from 5,000 sq. ft. to 3,200 sq. ft. while at the same time optimizing the floor and back office space. The main feature of the project was the redesigned and expanded storefront opening, while the interior of the stores received new finishes and an upgrade to all lighting fixtures. One of the major challenges of the project was the careful separation of the mechanical systems between the three stores, but through close cooperation with the architect and engineer, we were able to ensure that the separation went smoothly and all systems remained functional.
