Edward Bond's Bio
As the fourth generation of family managing BOND, Ed Bond has over 30 years’ experience in the construction management industry and is a highly respected leader in the industry. The company has grown steadily since he assumed the role of CEO in 1984, and today boasts extensive portfolios in academic, healthcare and civil & utility work.
Under his vision and leadership, BOND has become one of the leading full-service construction management and general contracting firms in the Northeast. Ed has taken great pride building a client-focused, family-driven culture with a true sense of caring for employees and community. His catch phrase “our word is our bond” exemplifies his dedication to establishing shared values of integrity, respect and trust throughout the organization.
Ed received a BA from New England College, an MBA from New Hampshire College and a Masters of Education from Cambridge College. He is an alumnus of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School and the Advanced Management Development Program at Harvard Graduate School of Design. He has received many awards including the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), recognizing his long-term contributions to the construction industry. He has served on many industry committees and boards including Boston Society of Architects, Massachusetts Building Congress, New England College, Society for the Advancement of Consulting, Society for Marketing Professionals Services, St. John’s Prep and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is the current Chancellor of the College of Fellows for the CMAA.
Francis X. Hayes's Bio
Frank has over 30 years of construction industry experience with strong leadership and management expertise in planning, preconstruction and project delivery. These strengths make him very effective in organizing teams to deliver exceptional value to BOND Building Construction clients. In addition, he has led numerous company initiatives, including the development of people strategies, plans for continued regional expansion, best-in-class project delivery, and state-of-the-art technology platforms.
Prior to working with BOND, Frank held leadership positions in both construction and institutional settings and formerly served as the Chief of Operations for Harvard Business School. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s program in Management Development and holds an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
He has served on many industry committees including the Association of Independent Colleges & Universities of Massachusetts, Associated General Contractors (AGC), Department of Community & Housing Development, Fenway Alliance, Rebuilding Together Boston and Society of College and University Planning.
James Dinardi's Bio
James oversees the financial management of BOND’s Building Division. With more than 15 years of finance experience in the construction industry, he is a strong leader and strategic planner with a proven background in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
James joined BOND in 2018 and has implemented best practices in building a strong Building Division finance team. Previously, he was CFO for both J.F. White Contracting Company and Trinity Building and Construction. He also worked for Shawmut Design and Construction.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and an MBA from Western Governors University. He is actively involved in several industry organizations including the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Massachusetts Chapter, where he serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer.
Mike Walsh's Bio
Mike brings more than 26 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on healthcare and institutional projects. Mike serves as the leader of the healthcare and life sciences market sector, developing strategies and relationships to win work and exceed client expectations.
Mike comes to BOND from Columbia Construction, where he served as Vice President of Business Development & Marketing, responsible for overseeing the development of new business for the entire firm. Prior to that, Mike spent nine years at Suffolk Construction, rising from a Project Manager in their Healthcare Group to the Vice President of Business Development for the Northeast– helping to secure more than $600 million in healthcare work for the firm. He began his career working as the Capital Project Manager for the Archdiocese of Boston, managing $20 million in projects per year.
Mike has developed relationships with key players in Boston’s healthcare market through his completion of work at major institutions, including Boston Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham & Women’s, Mass Eye and Ear and Steward Healthcare (formerly Caritas). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the (NEHES) New England Healthcare Engineers Society.
Mike is a LEED Accredited Professional and a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
Richard Small's Bio
As CFO, Rich is a key member of the executive management team, providing financial leadership and strategy to the organization. With more than 25 years of experience, Rich is well versed in all aspects of financial operations including: financial accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, contracts management, procurement, strategy development and implementation, management systems and business administration.
In his role, Rich will help BOND continue to bolster its financial infrastructure, management systems and reporting as the company delivers upon its long-term business goals and objectives.
Prior to joining BOND, Rich served as CFO for Abt Associates, a world-leading research firm in Cambridge. He has held leadership positions for some of New England’s top technology and consulting firms. Rich holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Robert Murray's Bio
For the past 30 years, Bob Murray has made a significant impact to BOND’s strategic direction and long-term growth, leading the firm to achieve regional prominence and forging new relationships within its key markets. His results-driven approach, professional business acumen and ability to understand the big picture allow him to carry out BOND’s mission to become best-in-class in all areas of project delivery and client service.
Since joining BOND in 1986, Bob has developed a long-standing relationship with many of its clients, and a track record of building impressive projects. He is a champion for innovation and has fostered a sense of teamwork, collaboration and continuous improvement throughout the organization. His passion for promoting the family values the company is founded upon has resulted in a firm whose employees are supported, recognized for their talents and given significant growth opportunities.
Bob received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Lowell. He serves on many industry committees and boards including Wentworth Institute of Technology, Cristo Rey High School, New England Council, Associated General Contractors, American Cancer Society, Construction Management Association of America, Boston Society of Architects and Massachusetts Building Congress.
BEYOND BOND
A resident of Hingham, Bob has always had an affinity for the ocean, whether it's boating, fishing, waterskiing or exploring nearby islands. He and his wife and children enjoy vacationing on Martha's Vineyard in the summer, and traveling to Europe and the Caribbean in the winter. The entire family has a commitment to volunteering and supporting non-profit organizations.
Tim Peer's Bio
Tim is responsible for leading BOND’s District Energy market sector, with a focus on developing new strategies and integrated solutions that exceed client expectations. A licensed professional engineer, Tim has over 30 years’ experience in the evolving power and energy industry, specializing in campus district heating, cooling and micro grids. He has a unique and diverse skill set leading the construction of many complex projects. These include not only central utility plants and distribution systems, but also natural gas delivery systems and substations.
Tim comes to BOND from CHA Consulting, where he led the company’s district energy, power and thermal generation business unit. Prior to that, Tim spent 22 years at Cornell University, holding positions such as chilled water plant operator, utilities engineer, project manager and eventually energy plant manager. During his tenure, he led the operations and maintenance of several multi-million dollar central plant projects. These included the Lake Source Cooling Facility and the Cornell Combined Heat and Power Project
After an enlistment in the United States Marine Corps, Tim graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. He has professional engineering licenses in the states of NY, NJ, MA and VA along with OSHA 10 hour certification. He is an active member of the International District Energy Association (IDEA) and the Cornell Society of Engineers (CSE). In 2010, he was presented the Keystone Award by Cornell University for his exemplary work in facilities management.
Tony Bond's Bio
As CEO & President, Tony oversees the strategic direction and long-term growth of the entire BOND Family of Companies. Tony has shown tremendous leadership in developing BOND’s Connecticut and New York City offices as well as extending the firm’s reach to the Mid-Atlantic markets. In addition, he has most recently expanded the BOND brand with the opening of BOND’s newest venture, BOND Mechanical Construction.
Being a fifth generation Bond, Tony has grown up in the construction industry and has many years of hands-on construction experience concentrating on complex logistics for clients in the power & energy markets as well as having worked in the academic and corporate spaces. Having worked his way through multiple roles in the company, Tony is highly efficient and responsive in navigating technical and business issues and working with clients to find the best solutions. His focus on safety, client satisfaction and people development continue to promote the legacy of the firm that has endured for many generations.
Tony holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and was named one of ENR New England’s Top Young Professionals for 2015.
Vern Rich's Bio
Drawing upon his 29 years of construction management experience within Greater Boston, Vern oversees BOND’s Select Projects Group. He is a champion for the successful delivery of small to mid-range projects within higher education, healthcare, life sciences and corporate/commercial markets. Vern has built his entire career upon superlative client service within the vertical building marketplace. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our clients, adding significant value to existing partnerships and cultivating new relationships.
Prior to joining BOND, Vern served as Director of Tenant Interiors at Shawmut Design and Construction, where he managed a team of estimating, project management and field operations professionals. He is well-experienced in handling fast-track, complex projects with a reputation for delivering on schedule and according to budget.
Vern holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. A resident of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, he is a member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. He also holds an unrestricted construction supervisors license and OSHA 20-hour certification.

Gregory Williamson's Bio
As BOND’s Vice President of Preconstruction, Greg has built a career around navigating clients through complicated projects such as Harvard Business School’s Tata Hall and Fitchburg State University’s Condike Science Building. Greg’s position affords him the opportunity to develop innovative and customized sequencing and work approaches that ensure clients receive the highest value for their budget.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Greg joined the BOND family in 2009. He says, “I was attracted to BOND’s reputation for quality work, focused leadership, and willingness to invest in the future.”
Scott Churchill's Bio
Scott brings over 20 years of industry experience to his role as VP Estimating and Business Development, focused in the Gas and Electric Transmission & Distribution, Civil Infrastructure, District Energy and Power Generation markets. In this role, Scott develops comprehensive business plans incorporating goals for each of the individual business units within his department. He focuses on developing strategies for procuring new work, partnering with clients to provide budgeting, value engineering, constructability services and managing an efficient estimating department.
Scott joined BOND in 2002 and has served as a project engineer, estimator, senior estimator, and Director of Strategic Project Development. He has developed a trusted relationship with many key clients including Black & Veatch, United Illuminating, Burns & McDonnell, Siemens, Iberdrola and NiSource. His key responsibilities include working with clients to develop accurate and efficient budgeting and provide constructability insights as well as tracking opportunities in the marketplace. One of his most notable projects is the Salem Harbor Energy Center, the third largest project in the company’s history.

Alan Steinberg's Bio
It’s all about the team atmosphere for Alan Steinberg. As Senior Operations Manager, Alan provides oversight and support for project management. Alan was aware of BOND’s reputation as a family oriented, multi-generational firm before his start at the company. He says, “I was intrigued by BOND’s history. The firm has been around for more than 100 years, and I enjoy being a part of its ongoing success.” He’s continuing the BOND legacy by mentoring employees and promoting a team dynamic that reaches beyond the BOND team to clients and partners.
Dan Ramos's Bio
As Vice President of Operations, Western New England, Dan provides leadership and strategic direction for the success of BOND Building across all market sectors in this region. He brings strong management expertise in planning, preconstruction, project delivery, and spearheads BOND Building’s Self-Performance Initiative. Dan has been instrumental in BOND Building’s work at Brown University, Bentley University, Bryant University, MIT, Stonehill College, and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Dan has been with BOND for over 20 years and has worked on many of the firm’s iconic projects including Ten Akron Street for Harvard University, which received the Harleston Parker Award, and the Haberlin Hall Chemistry Building for the College of the Holy Cross. He does a great job understanding the needs of clients, delivering highly complex projects and exceeding their expectations.
Dan received a B.S. in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and received the Young Alumni Award in 2009.
Kane Cuddy's Bio
As Chief Operating Officer, Civil & Utility, Kane oversees the operations and financial success of the Division. He has been with BOND for over 15 years, with previous roles including VP of Operations, VP of Civil Infrastructure, Director of Operations and Project Manager. He has managed the successful delivery of numerous projects within the oil, gas, electric, power generation and civil infrastructure markets.
Some of Kane’s most notable projects include the Middletown-Norwalk 345kV Underground Transmission line in Connecticut, the Hoosac Wind Project and the NSTAR Newton-West Roxbury Cooling Line. As Director of Operations, Kane streamlined BOND’s cost control systems, improved project management protocols and equipment systems. He also managed BOND’s training agenda and spearheaded many corporate and divisional objectives.
Kane holds an MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Paul James's Bio
As Senior VP of Risk Management, Paul is responsible for working with the BOND Executive and Project Operations Teams on risk management, contract, project administration, insurance and legal issues as well as conducting related professional training. Having worked with BOND for a number of years while a partner at Holland & Knight, LLP, Paul brings a deep knowledge of the BOND organization and extensive professional and legal advice to his position.
Paul has written and spoken on a variety of construction industry and related topics, including the structuring and negotiation of major construction industry contract documents and risk management and mitigation. His past honors include selection in The Best Lawyers in America Guide for Construction Law, 2013-2020.
Paul holds a J.D. from Boston University’s School of Law and a B.A. from Providence College. He is a current member and former co-chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association and a member of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (Co-Chair of its Legislative Committee) and the Associated General Contractors of America In-House Lawyers Committee as well as the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry.
Robert Mischler's Bio
Bob oversees operations for BOND Building in Eastern New England. A 25+ year veteran of the industry, Bob has worn many hats in his career, working his way from BOND Building superintendent to project executive. He enjoys applying the knowledge he’s learned during his time in the field to the challenges that can arise on complex construction efforts like UMass Boston’s Utility Corridor and Roadway project and Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences’ Northwest Laboratories.
In his role as Vice President of Northern New England, Bob also provides oversight and support to field teams during project delivery.
Steve Massey's Bio
Steve has over 23 years of construction safety experience in the Boston area. As BOND’s Corporate Safety Director he is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all safety programs, policies, and procedures. Steve is also charged with managing all claims on both the corporate policy and CCIP (Contractor Controlled Insurance Program). He brings strong leadership to BOND’s safety team, with expertise in safety engineering, civil and utility work, heavy and light construction, and insurance management.
Steve works closely with BOND’s owners in a collaborative effort to enhance the safety culture throughout all of BOND’s projects. Prior to joining BOND, Steve worked on several large scale projects in the area including the Central Artery Project, Boston Harbor Clean Up Project, MBTA Silverline and Metro West Tunnel Project.
Business Development, Marketing & Sales
Jill Papagni's Bio
Jill Papagni is a sharp and charismatic business development leader. She brings a fresh approach, high energy, and proven expertise to BOND Building Construction, Inc. She has built new relationships and strengthened existing ties with several key clients in the academic, life sciences, and healthcare markets. She employs the tools of technology along with her strong analytical skills to explore new opportunities and deliver BOND Building services that exceed client expectations.
Jill is an active member of several industry organizations including the New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES), American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), Professional Women in Construction (PWC), and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). She is a regular Dana-Farber Cancer Institute volunteer and serves as a Board Member for the Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She is also on the Board of Overseers at Franciscan Children’s. Jill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hartwick College.

Chris Fogg's Bio
As BOND Building’s Vice President of Integrated Services, Chris Fogg is ahead of the curve in new building technologies. With 20 years’ of experience, Chris leads BOND Building’s VDC and Reality Capture teams, the MEP Engineering Services group, as well as Estimating and Preconstruction. Under his guidance, BOND was the first construction manager in New England to offer a unique in-house laser scanning service.
Chris works closely with clients, partners and design teams, to create building models that improve schedule efficiencies by allowing systems coordination long before the start of construction in the field. He’s worked on many high-profile projects for clients such as Boston College, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Eversource, and Harvard Business School. One of his most memorable projects was MIT’s Central Utility Plant, where he used laser scanning technology to install a new deaerator and storage tank.
Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT). He graduated in the top four percent of his class and was honored with the President’s Award for his outstanding performance. Chris is AGC CM-BIM certified as well as OSHA 10-hour certified. He serves as speaker and volunteer for many organizations such as the Association of General Contractors (AGC), Boston Society of Architects (BSA), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Massport, Brown University, and WIT. He teaches an AIA laser scanning & Building Information Modeling (BIM) course throughout New England and was named one of ENR New England‘s Top Young Professionals for 2016.
David Capaldo's Bio
Dave has over 29 years of construction management experience working in the public education sector. He has collaborated with over 20 Massachusetts cities and towns to create new and improved public facilities. As Director of Public Education, Dave’s extensive knowledge of the construction administrative process and public design have resulted in repeat projects with notable clients such as Bryant University, the City of Quincy, the City of Fitchburg, the Town of Wakefield, Northeastern University and the City of Lowell.
Dave is a licensed AIA architect having taken classes at Boston Architectural College. He is also a licensed construction supervisor, holds a MCCPO certification and is a LEED AP accredited professional.
Greg Hogg's Bio
As BOND Building’s Safety Team Leader, Greg is responsible for the preparation, development and execution of the safety plans. He has over 18 years of safety management experience and is a certified healthcare manager.
Greg is an expert OSHA, First-Aid and CPR teacher. Prior to joining BOND, he worked as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician. He frequently collaborates with the corporate safety director, to establish policies and rules for accident prevention and work site safety issues.
