Burton Hackney's Bio
Burton Hackney has been in commercial construction project management since 1994. He has been managing operations at an executive-level since 2000. As our director of operations for central Texas, Burton oversees all projects and project teams throughout the central Texas area. He also oversees all Joeris Austin office operations including personnel management, profit and loss, and project execution. One of his greatest abilities is providing direction and guidance to our central Texas project teams while ensuring clear communication to the owner during each phase of the project. Gary L. Joeris's Bio
As CEO of the company, Gary Joeris is responsible for formulating short-term and long-term goals, as well as company policies, in order to achieve overall corporate objectives. During his 30-year career in commercial construction, Gary has adhered to and deepened the same high quality business ethics on which his father built the firm. He is active in each project, and his strong leadership and management skills have been key factors in the firm’s continued success. In addition, Gary is actively involved in many business and community organizations. Gary is an employee owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
John Casstevens's Bio
John Casstevens utilizes his 20 years of experience in overseeing project management and supervisory staff for all work in progress at Joeris. He joined the firm as a Project Manager in 1995, became a Senior Project Manager in 2001, Vice President of Operations in 2008, and currently serves as the President of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd. Prior to his construction career, John was a naval officer, and this military background instilled values of commitment, integrity and teamwork. In addition to his professional duties, John is an active member of University United Methodist Church, and serves on the board of trustees at Northside Education Foundation and the local chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. John is an employee owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
Kenneth W. Fuller's Bio
Kenny Fuller has over 30 years of experience as a construction Project Manager. He has particular expertise in fast-track projects and is the leader of Joeris’ retail service team, ensuring high-level service for clients such as H-E-B and Walmart. Kenny is also recognized as one of the industry’s foremost regional experts in alternative building systems, concrete systems and mold prevention and remediation. Outside of Joeris, he is active in the local real estate and development communities as well as his local school board. Kenny is an employee-owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
Kristian Pearson's Bio
Kristian has worked in the commercial construction industry for more than 30 years. As the Chief Strategy Officer and a member of the Joeris Executive Team, Kristian drives cross functional business processes and business model innovation while identifying strategic risks and opportunities. He uses his innate communication skills to collaborate with leadership and cross function teams to execute strategies. Kristian is an employee owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
Michelle Seward Davis's Bio
Michelle Seward Davis oversees all company accounting practices, risk management and human resources. She also directs company financial strategy, planning and forecasts, and supervises the investment and raising of funds for business. As part of the Executive Management group, Michelle studies, analyzes and reports on trends, opportunities for expansion, and projection of future company growth. She is also a key player in the firm’s Leadership Development program and strategic planning process. In addition to her duties at Joeris, she currently serves on the Associated Builders & Contractors State Board, the ABC South Texas Board, and the Alpha Home Board of Directors. Nathan Plake's Bio
Nathan, a 20-year seasoned veteran in commercial construction, joined Joeris with a wealth of knowledge in all areas of construction including estimating, bidding, scheduling, administration, and project execution. As the Vice President of Houston, Nathan oversees Joeris Houston office operations including personnel management, profit and loss, and project execution. Nathan plays an integral role on major Joeris Houston projects, overseeing pre-construction coordination, project planning, schedule execution, and project completion. He provides direction and guidance to Houston-based project teams and ensures clear communication to the owner during each phase of the project. Scott Lee's Bio
Scott Lee manages the administrative functions of Joeris’ Dallas/Fort Worth office and serves as a member of the regional leadership team responsible for strategic planning and direction for the organization. Scott is skilled at effectively transitioning a project from design to completion while overseeing a team of skilled professionals in estimating, scheduling, and field supervision. Scott brings 16 years of management expertise and extensive industry experience to every project. He also brings organizational, logistics and command skills learned at West Point and as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. Scott is an employee-owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
Stephen Walter's Bio
Stephen Walter plays a pivotal role in overall of the Joeris Group. He is involved in the acquisition, estimating and project of all contracts and actively assists Joeris’ president with company operations. In addition, he is responsible for all operations in our Dallas/Fort Worth office. From his earliest days as a draftsman with a San Antonio architecture firm and his subsequent 38 years in the industry, Stephen has earned a reputation for fairness with owners, architects and subcontractors as well as high standards of professional quality and personal integrity. Stephen is an employee-owner of Joeris Contractors, Ltd.

Billy Nelson's Bio
Billy Nelson joined Joeris as a project manager, after completing almost ten years in the United States Air Force. Over the course of a decade, Billy has held a variety of titles including senior project manager and director of operations in Austin. He is currently our director of retail construction in San Antonio where he oversees company operations in the Joeris retail division. He has managed retail projects in excess of $200M and educational projects in excess of $150M. He continues to hone his leadership skills through courses such as the North San Antonio Chamber’s Leadership Lab Program. Billy is an active member of the community and is a member of the Texas Cavaliers Organization, German Club, and Order of the Alamo. He is an employee-owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.

Carl McClenan's Bio
Carl McClenan has worked in various capacities in the construction industry for over 17 years, including two years working in the field as an assistant superintendent. This field experience gives him a valuable perspective on project management. Since joining Joeris in 2003, Carl quickly put this knowledge to work as an Assistant Project Manager. In short order, he was promoted to senior project manager and now serves as our vice president of operations, an integral part of the Joeris team. He is responsible for overseeing all projects and project teams throughout the company. Carl is respected by all members of the construction team and is known for his integrity as well as his ability to maintain the project budget and schedule. Carl is active in youth sports programs as a coach. Carl is also a member of the Joeris executive management team and is an employee-owner of Joeris General Contractors, Ltd.
Dan Byrom's Bio
Dan Byrom has over 14 years experience in commercialconstruction project management. He began his career with Joeris as a project engineer, shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University. He has been with us for over 13 years and is currently a Joeris project executive. As a project executive, Dan plays an integral role on major Joeris San Antonio projects, responsible for pre-construction coordination, project planning, schedule maintenance, project finish-out, owner training, and warranty tracking. His specialty is ensuring clear communication to the owner during each phase of the project. Dan is LEED Green certified and is an employee-owner of Joeris GeneralContractors, Ltd.
Julie Delahunt's Bio
Julie Delahunt has served as Human Resources Director since 2005. She evaluates thousands of employee applicants each year – and attends numerous career fairs to build relationships with upcoming students. Along with recruiting, Julie is responsible for employee relations, benefits coordination, performance reviews, new hire orientation, compensation analysis, and policies and procedures development. Julie has a passion for teaching young people about construction career opportunities and translates that passion into volunteer efforts with area industry and university-related groups. Lindy Mechler's Bio
Lindy Mechler has been a superintendent with Joeris General Contractors since 1975. He was one of the company’s original employees and is the firm’s longest-tenured employee. Like many long-time Joeris employees, Lindy learned the construction industry from the ground up as a carpenter and field foreman. He also learned the Joeris culture, The Joeris Way, from the firm’s founder, Leo Joeris. To this day, Lindy is the firm’s standard-bearer for Leo’s teachings and all that makes Joeris special. With over 40 years of ‘hands-on’ experience in the San Antonio construction industry, Lindy is highly respected among his peers. He has put his stamp of honesty, fairness and hard work on many projects throughout San Antonio and south Texas. Today, Lindy serves the firm as director of field operations. In this role he supports and consults with each superintendent, offering mentoring and advice on everything from scheduling, to safety, to constructability and more.

Angela Cardwell's Bio
Angela Cardwell is responsible for the marketing and information technology functions of the company. She directs all marketing efforts, including proposal and presentation development as well as creation of corporate advertising materials. Angela has a wide variety of software and computer application knowledge, and oversees the company’s use and implementation of technology. Henry Serry's Bio
Henry Serry’s construction experience in central and south Texas began in 1986 and has included a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors. As vice president of corporate accounts, Henry is actively involved in the estimating, scheduling and planning of Joeris corporate account projects He has held positions ranging from field engineer to superintendent, project executive to president and been responsible for corporate profit and loss as well as operations. He is highly respected for his integrity and consistent project success record. He is an employee-owner of Joeris GeneralContractors, Ltd.
Ryan Doege's Bio
Ryan is an integral part of the leadership team at Joeris General Contractors with more than 11 years of experience in the industry. He provides his financial expertise as the Chief Financial Officer on the Executive Team. He is responsible for directing the company’s financial strategy, planning, and forecasts. Ryan conducts monthly project management meeting to assess project progress from the standpoint of budgets and billings. In addition, he analyzes and oversees the firm’s investments and business planning. Ryan is a natural leader with a dedication to this industry, the Joeris company and his community, also serving as a school board member in his local school district. Billy Carter has been in the construction industry since 1979 and has worked as a Joeris superintendent for over 30 years. He has been responsible for over $200,000,000 in construction projects throughout San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Because of his field experience, he is one of Joeris’ most valued, most skilled and most respected superintendents. In 2010, he was selected by AGC San Antonio as the Safe Superintendent of the Year.
