The project included attaching this new second phase, to the first phase of work done in 2007, also done by Henley Construction Company, Inc. The project design includes core growth, meeting future occupancy needs of up to 740 students, maximizes program adjacency and flow, offers required teaching and support. Improvements were also made to the exterior, with the addition of a full-length student drop-off/pick-up loop, a bus loop which was reconfigured, allowing for more bus queuing on site as well as the addition of 85 parking spaces near the main entrance of the school. bringing Wayside Elementary School into a complete whole (93,453 square feet) on 9.26 acres.
