Scope Of Work
This stand-alone addition was constructed by Henley Construction Co. Inc. Serving the magnet science program, the new facility provides program spaces for Grades 9-12. The two story addition has three science labs on each floor including separate preparation rooms and material storage facilities. Each laboratory is provided with a state of the art teaching station, individual student stations, fume hoods, chemical storage devices and integrated data interface.
The structure is steel bearing with a grand foyer containing the main stair case. Energy recovery units, low flow plumbing fixtures, energy star compliant roofing and pervious concrete walk/storm water retention system were some of the green building features incorporated into construction.
