Scope Of Work

The Blacksburg BP had been a major landmark in this area for years; when the previous owners shut the store down, it was left in dismay. The scope of this project was to completely gut and renovate the exsiting building to bring it up to code and to allow for a more updated look. The demolition included: tearing out ceiling system, lights, HVAC, existing plumbing and all fixtures, walls, counters, all interior partitions and fixtures, and a full demo of the existing exterior access restrooms.

Once demolition was completed and all intial inspections were done to HVAC, electrical and plumbing to ensure that all systems were in good working order, new began. The most important part of this project was the restrooms; the restrooms were enclosed and united in to one large, handicap accessible room. The floor was demolished and new plumbing installed to allow for a new layout. New tile floors, new walls and a new interior entrance was installed. Once the restrooms were complete, the rest of the store got a face-lift.

The interior walls were furred out and covered with drywall and finished and painted. A new HVAC system was installed, as well as new electrical modifications for the entire building. After the rough-in inspection was passed, the ceiling tiles and walls were installed along with the custom-built cabinetry. After the pumps and tanks were installed, new LED perimeter and building lights were installed to ensure a bright site that was visible from the interstate.
