Scope Of Work

New Horizon Academy selected Estes to build its first early education and childcare facility in Iowa. With 75 locations across four states, this was New Horizons’ first three-story building that also sits on a very tight downtown property.

The building’s small footprint required development of unique solutions, including overhangs to maximize parking and drop off space and fencing on the rooftop playground that was delicately installed without penetrating the roof membrane.

Inside the building, features like Dutch doors, an all glass vestibule, security cameras and a secure entrance help staff deliver a robust curriculum that focuses on hands-on learning.
