Scope Of Work
Grunley renovated and restored the historic Building One, as part of the development of this campus, to consolidate the FDA offices and laboratories. Our work stabilized and revitalized the building’s historic envelope and refurbished interior elements, while modernizing all systems to serve the FDA. The Commissioner of the FDA now resides in this building. The project received a 2009 Merit Award for Restoration/Renovation from the Associated General Contractors of Metropolitan Washington. The project achieved LEED Gold NC 2.0 certification.
