Scope Of Work

J&S  has  several contracts for Ficosa North America’s Cookeville ,  most recently   being a 4,800 square-foot, Design-Build addition. This addition houses additional equipment associated with Ficosa's die cast .  

 addition blends with  existing , a 270,000 square-foot manufacturing plant which was unveiled to  public  October 2016.  exterior finishes  roof height were designed to match  current elevations by using a mixture  painted, split-face masonry  standard metal  siding.

 interior space required  extension  crane rails  beams to accommodate  overhead crane that was located   main .

At  floor level, a series  trenches were added that primarily allow  electrical requirements to be distributed as needed to equipment. New ventilation equipment was also installed in coordination with  requirements   new die cast machines.

 occurred during normal working hours  crews had to ensure  did not disrupt  ongoing . Given   scheduling restraints,  Design-Build process allowed  to start much sooner than  alternative Design-Bid-Build method, allowing J&S  to meet  strict scheduling requirements.

Other  J&S  has  for Ficosa North America’s largest  most technologically advanced U.S.  include: modifications to  dock  to improve truck access; installation  a new modular break room within  ;  installation  a new fence at  outdoor break .
