Scope Of Work
The Janis L. Jones Blackhurst Elementary School project, built for the Clark County School District, included the new construction of a two-story, 100,000 square foot elementary school located in Las Vegas, NV. The facility, which opened in August 2017, supports grades kindergarten through fifth grade in four separate building wings. The elementary school was constructed on a spread footings foundation and a conventional structural steel frame, an exterior of metal stud framing covered by stucco, and a single-ply roof. The project also features an outdoor basketball court, playground equipment, and artificial turf sports fields as well as shade structures, a bus drop-off area, and parking lots. The Janis L. Jones Blackhurst Elementary School project now provides a Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEM) focused curriculum to students while easing district overcrowding.
