Scope Of Work

The Red Lake Band of Chippewa is building a mixed-use development on the Amble Hardware site in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mino-bimaadiziwin (an Ojibwe phrase meaning “the good life”) features 115 units of housing, serving households at 60% of area median income or below, with a preventative health care clinic and The Red Lake Band Urban Embassy on the first floor.

The housing development includes a landscaped courtyard, green space, and a playground. The new building features innovative green design techniques such as high efficiency HVAC systems, low flow plumbing fixtures, stormwater management techniques to reduce infiltration rate, and a strong connection to the Franklin LRT stop, just east of the site.

Loeffler joined the project team during the early phases of design to ensure the design and funding sources aligned.
