Scope Of Work
The Anishinabe Wakiagun Building was originally built in 1995 and is located in Minneapolis, MN. This building serves as an affordable housing facility for those struggling with chronic addiction. Back in Fall of 2015, Loeffler Construction served as the general contractor for the two phased construction project which included the addition of Bii Gii Wiin, which provided a 32-unit, 3-story multifamily affordable housing addition, and a remodel of the existing Wakiagun building.
Phase 3 of this project in the addition of a 4-story, 42-unit supportive housing facility. Each of the units is single room occupancy with a private bathroom. All meals are to be provided to the residents, so a community dining hall and serving kitchen is hosted on the first floor. This project aims to prevent homelessness within the community and to give individuals long term housing solutions.
