Scope Of Work

With a tight schedule and the security of the Mobile Regional Airport on the line, White-Spunner Construction set out to install the latest Body Scanning technology for those traveling from Mobile, AL. This process included the demolition of several walls and ceilings to make room for the new scanner. The project required relocation of the old metal detector and scanner lines and decommission of the x-ray scanner.

Construction also involved new floor tile installation, core drilling of power and communications cables and relocation of x-ray lines. A new private screening room was also constructed.

To avoid disruption of heavy air traveler flow time, all work was completed at night, allowing the TSA checkpoint to remain operational throughout the entire project.
