Engineer: Black & Veatch Corporation
Description: Initial bid price was over budget. Velocity worked with owner to value engineer the project within the budget. Project consisted of the following: Removal and replacement of valves, actuators, and filter backwash supply piping for the filter gallery. Replacement of existing chlorine gas disinfection system, bulk sodium hypochlorite system, new transfer pumps in settling basins, new electrical room in WTP building, as well as new equipment for code compliance.
