JD Candler Roofing Co. is one of the oldest, continually operating, commercial roofing companies in the country.  Their long history provides the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship.  Originally founded in 1879 in Detroit, by James DeForest Candler, quality, pride in workmanship and supplying superior service remains as the cornerstone of their business.   They drew the skyline of Detroit in sheet metal and hot tar.  Rising to the top of it's trade, the company installed the original roofs of the Masonic Temple, Detroit Athletic Club, MI Central Train Station, the Fisher Building and other signature structures of the early 20th Century Detroit.

JD Candler Commercial Roofing Company is a trusted resource for construction firms, municipalities, commercial/industry and medical facilities. Bonding capacity of $12,500,000, licensed by all major roofing manufacturers, earned Master Contractor rating with Firestone a Q1 contractor rating with Carlisle.  Fully equipped with all roofing lifting equipment necessary to perform ALL job sizes, types, building elevations with at least 12 to 14 service trucks across the state which are on call dispatched 24 hours/day, 365 days a year.

Installation of all major roofing systems & products: EPDM, PVC, TOP, Asphalt BUR, Coal Tar BUR, SBS Modified, Shingles, Slate, Tile roof products.

Sheet Metal products: include all architectural sheet metal, metal panel systems, standing seam steel, as well as aluminum or copper, most of which is custom fabricated in their full service sheet metal shop.

RoofLink - Data Management System:  McDonald offers RoofLink, a proprietary Roof Asset Management system to manage customer inspections, roof repair, maintenance, and replacement plans.  RoofLink is a powerful Web-Based tool that stores and tracks all critical data in one place.  The data can be viewed via your computer, smart phone or tablet to manage and maximize the return on their investment.
