Scope Of Work
Wagner Engineering & Survey, Inc. (WES) performed Civil Engineering Design and Land Surveying Services for the construction of the new student services building, parking lot, pedestrian mall and adjacent roadways on a 2-acre site at Pierce College. Client goals were to meet LEED® standards under the Los Angeles Community College District’s Sustainable Building Program. WES was instrumental in accomplishing these goals through grading design, design of drainage through sustainable methods and utility plans provided for the 48,296 square foot building as well as provided research into site alternatives for the proposed building. This process took into consideration the cost of road realignment, earthworks quantities and retaining walls. All elements were designed to LEED® standards and complied with LEED® requirement methods to reach silver certification. Department of the State Architect (DSA) approvals were obtained.
