Our Story

Established in 1980, ALS is a family owned WBE, and provides quality grassing services to counties all over South Florida including Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Broward, Dade, Monroe, Glades, Highlands, Okeechobee, and Indian River. We specialize in Bahia and Floratam Sod Installation, Rolled Sod, Seed & Mulching, Hydroseeding, Fertilizing, Mowing and Watering. We are able to get other types of sod as well including Bermuda, Zoysia, and Palmetto. We also offer maintenance services for the grass we install including watering and mowing. ALS specializes in providing grassing services to large scale projects like roadways, airports, levees, and equestrian facilities. However, if you need grassing services for a smaller project do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the scope of your project.

Hydroseeding is one of our specialties. Hydroseeding is an ideal and cost-effective way of planting grass on slopes or large areas. Hydroseeding is done by mixing the seed and mulch material in a machine with water to mix all parts together. A slurry is established by mixing the seed and cellulose material with water. Once the hydroseed slurry is mixed, it is applied with a spray gun. Hydroseeding is much more effective than the traditional seeding and mulching process. It takes approximately four weeks (depending on the weather) for the grass to grow in lush and full.

Our services have been used on many high profile, federal, state and county projects, as well as private contractor and commercial sites. We are innovative and will develop specialized equipment to install sod or seed on difficult to access projects.

Whether you require simple measurements or full plan / specification review, our staff is available to discuss your grassing needs. We strive to provide you with the finest grassing services in the business.
