Scope Of Work
The Union Square Revitalization project (USQ) is a transit-oriented development of over 2.4M SF including lab, office, housing, retail, and open space. This development will expand the Cambridge/Boston innovation ecosystem and foster one of the next great concentration of life science and technology companies.
Within this larger development Cranshaw will build the first project, 20-50 Prospect Street, a 25-story, approximately 535,800 SF apartment building located directly next to the Union Square Green Line Station. This project includes 450 units, amenity space, a 271-space parking garage and ground floor retail. The project is adjacent to the new MBTA Green Line station and coordination and communication will be a critical element to project success.
The building will be constructed with a concrete CIP core, girder slab and precast panel façade with amenity deck along with a 5/1 wood frame and a steel/CIP composite concrete deck system.
