As glass is increasingly used in homes in the Pacific Northwest, more homeowners and professionals are turning to solar window film and solar shades to help guard against fading, reduce sun glare and save energy. Consumers have been increasingly aware of the sophisticated window tints that are now available and the attributes they offer. Window tints are environmentally friendly. Not only do they save energy, but also help protect your interiors such as artwork, photographs, hardwood floors and your fine fabrics from the sun's damaging rays. Many homeowners, even here in the Northwest, take advantage of the window film's ability to reduce heat gain and make your home more comfortable year round. Finally, window tinting allows homeowners to make optimum use of outdoor views afforded by modern spacious windows.
What is window film?
Window film is a micro-thin, solar control, polyester film that handles sun problems more efficiently than any other window treatment. Applied to the inside of windows, it lets light in, but keeps the sun's damaging rays out.
