Description:
The work is generally described as the total renovation of approximately 110,000 sf. of educational space, on two floors and in 4 separate phases which the Owner occupies the portions of the building.
A significant aspect of the work is the reallocation of space for all Science Labs, including new laboratory casework, equipment, Fume Hoods and all required HVAC work attendant to have functional Science Labs.
The work includes all architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, etc., necessary to provide a complete and fully operational and occupiable facility for the use intended. The work was made more challenging due to the fact the work is being accomplished in separate and distinct phases and while the remainder of the facility continues to be in use.
Abatement of the existing hazardous materials are also included as part of the work.
The work also includes a "Plaza connecting Burnette Hall with the adjacent building. The Plaza consists of raised planters, curbing, precast concrete panes, landscaping, and benches.
