Scope Of Work
The Endoscopy Department at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan was growing and in need of a new, larger area for the high patient volume they were experiencing, along with room for the advanced technology that was available at the time.
The hospital had a 7,500-square-foot area that could be renovated for the new Elaine E. Blatt Endoscopy Center. The project entailed a complete ground up remodel of the entire area including walls, ceilings, finishes and mechanicals.
CCC provided carpentry services to AIM Construction, construction manager for the project. CCC self-performed all work including interior framing, drywall, drywall finish, doors/frames hardware, wall protection and patient room accessories. The project took six months to complete with over 2,110 man-hours logged on it.
The result was a new space that is twice as large as the previous area, and includes additional procedure rooms offering more privacy and comfort for patients.
