Memory Care Gets a Much-Needed Makeover
Bland food, bored residents and perfunctory care was the hallmark of memory care—until now.
Created by Wallick, The Grove offers a safe, yet vibrant, environment with person-centered care for seniors with age-related dementias. Featuring revolutionary, resident-centered design and state-of-art amenities, The Grove keeps loved ones healthy and happy.
A freestanding community on the campus of Oakleaf Village of Toledo, The Grove is specially designed to replicate a homelike feel while providing innovative care, including a high staff-to-resident ratio, brain-healthy meals, natural wayfinding, and multisensory surroundings.
The suites are divided into residential neighborhoods – there are no nurses’ stations, scrubs, or long, sterile hallways. The Grove’s associates learn resident’s life stories and preferences and build their days around them. Everything at The Grove, from the architecture to the personal care, was designed not only to address the unique needs of the residents, but to help them live life to the fullest.
